The delicacy and intricacy of her patterns are simply beautiful. When the Bits of Baltimore and Beyond project came about, my first thought was that I had to select one of Edyta's patterns. The one I chose is a heart from her book "Sweet Sixteen" which contains sixteen luscious blocks, each one prettier than the next. I enjoy both piecing and appliqué … piecing in my sewing room, appliqué while relaxing in front of the television or stitching with friends. This block was fun to stitch and gave me an opportunity to try a few simple silk and rayon ribbons. The hand quilting took a bit longer than I thought it would. I like the process, but I am oh, so slow at it. I truly hope you like the final block. |
