| Quilt Name: BoB 17 Quilt Maker: Mary Pauley, Frederick, MD Design: My Heart Quilter : Mary Pauley Quilting: Hand Size in Inches: 20" x 20 Artist Description: This signature block from the Rebecca Hendrix Quilt, 1847, appealed to me for its twining vine heart and sweet sentiment from her friends and family. I imagine Rebecca may have been moving far away and how much she must have treasured and loved this quilt. The original block was signed by John B. and Sarah B. Chenowith, March 1, 1847, Carroll County, Maryland. I chose to give this design a brighter, more modern feel using contemporary fabrics. |
